Christos Tentomas is the Vice Mayor for Climate Change and Greenery, responsible for the Division of Green Areas and Urban Fauna, as described in the Internal Service Organisation of the City of Athens. When the Vice Mayor for Climate Change and Greenery is absent or indisposed, he is substituted by Vice Mayor Mr. Eugene (Sakis) Kollatos, Vice Mayor for Electric Lighting, Energy Upgrade and Civil Protection.

He was born at Plato’s Academy in 1968. He is a Surveyor from the Athens Technological Educational Institute and a graduate of the Department of Methodology, History and Theory of Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with postgraduate studies in Sustainable Development at the Harokopeion University of Athens. He has been continuously elected to the Athens City Council since 1990. He has served as: President of the 4th Municipal District, Vice Mayor of Sanitation, Vice Mayor of Urban Planning, Vice President of the Municipal Council and President of Culture, Sports & Youth Organization of the City of Athens (OPANDA), while he also supervised school care. He has also been a member of the Executive Committee of the ESDKNA and has served as Deputy Governor of IKA. Today he is a Municipal Councillor of Athens and head of the citizens’ initiative “Athens Is Us”. He is always by the side of his fellow human beings, undertaking voluntary initiatives for people with disabilities, the elderly and the economically disadvantaged.
